Prospective voucher tenant submits application to one of our properties.
The housing office schedules the property for inspection within 2-3 weeks, and once approved, determines the rent offer.* *The rent offer is based on the market comps, housing payment standards, and the individual tenant’s affordability
The rent offer is then approved, and the tenant moves in within 2 weeks of the lease signing.

Frequently Asked Questions

A housing voucher allows very low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private market. The housing choice voucher program is a federal program, that provides funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to local public housing agencies (PHAs). Voucher tenants are able to find their own housing, from single family homes to apartments. The housing subsidy is paid directly to the landlord by the PHAs on behalf of the tenant; the tenant then pays the remaining balance. – HUD.gov
